After earning her M.F.A. from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1996, Amy Roehl spent the following seven years as a designer with the Chicago-based Architecture, Interior Design, and Urban Planning firm of Solomon Cordwell Buenz. Ms. Roehl taught at Harrington College of Design in Chicago for one year followed by a year with the Interior Architecture Program at Ohio University. Prior to her start at TCU, Ms. Roehl worked as a senior designer with the Chicago-based residential design firm, Soucie Horner Ltd.

Ms. Roehl's scholarship focuses on creating connections between design education and professional practice. Her website houses videos of Interior Design professionals from around the U.S. discussing their work.
